Catherine Olsen, DO
Hello! I’m Dr. Catherine Olsen. I have three amazing children, Mikaiah, Kaleb, and Isabella and two wonderful bonus children by marriage, Jordan and Audrey – plus a beautiful granddaughter, Raelynn. I also have four, 4-legged children, Floki, Fibi, Ozzy, and Max who make me nuts on a regular basis but also make me laugh out loud often. My family is simply amazing and I’m so blessed to have all of them.
In my spare time, I’m a masters swimmer and compete frequently. I love home projects, and love Estate sales.
I cannot say I always “knew I was going to be a doctor.” I actually took the long way around getting to OBGYN and medicine in general.
I was a housekeeper, a bartender, and an ER/ICU nurse before I decided to go to medical school. I did several years of general surgery before I realized that wasn’t intended for me and followed my heart to OBGYN. I’ve never regretted any portion of that journey.
I’ve been in Rockwall since I came out of residency at the AMAZING John Peter Smith Hospital in 2011. I spent the last 8 years with a great corporate entity. However, due to unfortunate issues, that entity decided to close our branch of its OB line. That was heart-breaking on so many levels.
Most OBGYNS are winding down at my age. I wasn’t ready to do that, so I tried the hospitalist role. But, over and over, I was reminded how much I truly love my relationship with my girls. I missed that connection terribly. I prayed over the right direction to take. I tried other avenues without happiness.
One morning, I woke up and finally decided to open Genesis. I knew it was time. The name fits because it symbolizes my rebirth in the community and hopefully a new outlook on private practice. I vowed that if I did this, I would do everything I could to make it about you, the patients.
My staff and I have made our office a reflection of Genesis and our personalities. We’re truly a team. Medicine is a beautiful blend of art and science. It can touch the body, mind, and spirit if allowed to do so.
We look forward to serving you and all your obstetrical or gynecological needs.
Montoya Rainey, RDMS
Hello! My name is Montoya “Toya” Rainey, and I’m a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner on a mission to promote wellness and empower women in their healthcare journey. With a blend of compassion and expertise, seasoned with some Midwestern charm, I strive to create a supportive environment where you can thrive and take charge of your health.
I was born in Iowa City, Iowa, but I’m pretty much a Texan. I’ve lived primarily in the North Dallas area, attended schools in the Richardson ISD district, and graduated from L.V. Berkner High School in 2000.
I’ve worked in many areas of healthcare, in various capacities, including pediatrics and women’s health. In 2003, I became a diagnostic registered sonographer specializing in OBGYN, which ignited my love for women’s health.

After obtaining my RN degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2015, I worked at Baylor Scott & White Dallas (BUMC) in women’s service line, including antepartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery, thus furthering my enthusiasm to care for adolescents and women.
I chose to pursue my advanced nursing education at my alma mater TWU and received my advanced practice degree with a concentration in Women’s Health in 2021.
I married my high school sweetheart, Chris, in 2002, and we have three beautiful children together: Alivia, Natallie, and Jaymeson. I also have a dog named Benji. When I’m not working, I love spending time with family and friends, cheering at sporting events, crafting, trying out new recipes, and reading.
I’m happy to be a part of Genesis Obstetrics and Gynecology and I cannot wait to join you on your health care journey!
