Reduce Your Pain Levels Without Opioids
Improve your quality of life by minimizing your pain levels without the use of controlled substances and medications. Our team can help you with non narcotic interventions such as trigger point injections and manual release of myofascial pain (knots in muscle fiber).
A few of the non-narcotic interventions we utilize are:
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory meds such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, and Aleve
- Tylenol
- Steroids to reduce inflammation
- Trigger Point injection for painful muscle knots (with lidocaine – no use of steroids or NSAIDs)
- Local myofascial release with manual therapy and non narcotic pain medications
Once we relieve the acute inflammatory process and calm the muscles down, your body will be better able to stretch and heal – and become stronger to prevent future injuries.
We also make referrals out for:

FAQs
What is non narcotic pain management?
When you sustain a painful injury or wake up in pain, most people assume they will go to a doctor’s office and receive a prescription for an opioid medication.
At Complete Family Wellness, we offer you the chance to heal from injury pains without narcotics – by healing your body naturally, strengthening your muscles, and preventing recurrence of pain and immobility.
If you have a structural injury, such as herniated discs or bone fractures, we will provide referrals for imaging and management as appropriate. However, chronic pain and immobility are often caused by trigger points (knots) forming in your muscles.
Knots form when muscles spasm and tighten, causing them to constrict and limit your range of motion. The pain can then spread to other areas.
What are trigger point injections?
Trigger point injections help reduce the amount of scar tissue and swelling that’s causing your pain at these pressure points. With the use of a small needle, we can help break apart the scar tissue. We will also inject a small amount of Lidocaine into the area to reduce discomfort and encourage recovery.
What are the side effects of opioid drugs?
Taking opioid medicines often results in side effects like respiratory troubles, dizziness or drowsiness, and constipation. Sometimes opioid drugs can lead to lowered cardiac rate and blood pressure. Opioid drugs can also be highly addictive, habit forming, and difficult to discontinue once started. Our non narcotic pain medication avoids these side effects while delivering pain relief.
